Beth Mackenzie

Currently accepting new clients. Working with children adolescents, and adults.

Certifications:  Certified Advanced Parent Trainer – Reactive Attachment Disorder

I am currently an intern with Nova Southeastern University working on my second Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling with an expected graduation date of August 2019.  In 2014, I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters in Forensic Psychology, which allowed me to begin working with children with mental health and severe behavioral issues.  This enabled me to specialize in Reactive Attachment Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorders.

In addition, I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of children’s mental health diagnoses ranging from ADHD, Anxiety, and Bi-Polar Disorder.  Prior to returning to school I had the experience of working with children in various settings such as juvenile commitment programs, day treatment programs, the Guardian ad Litem Program, and a variety of court programs throughout my time working in the 19th Circuit Courts.

In conjunction to working with children I have experience working with adults dealing with various challenges ranging from domestic violence, criminal courts, abandonment/neglect, depression/anxiety, substance abuse and addiction.

I am excited to begin the next phase of my life and I have the wonderful opportunity to work with Nicky Treadway at Anchors Aweigh Counseling to assist me on continuing my journey and expanding my practice and assistance in helping people in seeking the benefits of mental health counseling.
