About the Event
Pleasure is defined as a feeling of happy satisfaction and enjoyment. Sensuality refers to the way we experience pleasure in our bodies. During this workshop we will engage the senses and move towards more pleasurable ways of being. We are going to explore ourselves and notice our preferences with various movements and yums and mmms and giggles and deep deep breaths. This workshop focuses on non sexual sensuality.
The instructors, Nicky Treadway and Lori Lauridsen, will guide you through a variety of activities focused on different sensations. There will be yoga woven through the entire workshop. This is the perfect activity for couples but also works well for individuals or friends. The activities will be geared towards individual or group experience but there will be invitations to engage more meaningfully with a partner.
We will explore:
What kind of breath does my body enjoy?
Finding that threshold between pleasure and pain.
How to lean into pleasure to create a stronger inner resource.
Touch, Sight, Sound, Smell, and Taste
How does your body respond to pleasure?
